Victor Vu (born November 25, 1975) is a Vietnamese American film director and screenwriter. Born and educated in the US, Vu has worked and found success primarily in Vietnam. His films have won domestic awards, critical acclaim and commercial success. Media and public opinion have also accused him of plagiarism; in particular, Vietnamese regulators found the film Inferno to have copied a 1991 Hollywood film. This resulted in Inferno’s disqualification from Vietnam’s Golden Kite Awards.
